Do you want to make a beautiful decadent dessert but want to keep it brain healthy? Then look no further! This dessert has delicious layers of creamy and crunchy texture and is oh so chocolatey. Instead of butter, cream and sugar, we use ripe avocados, which are high in Vitamin E, potassium, fiber, and healthy fats. This recipe also contains maple syrup and lots of chocolate. Kids and adults love this dessert, and they never know it is made with avocados.

Ingredients:

  • Flesh of 2 large ripe avocados

  • ½ cup dutch cocoa powder

  • 3-4 tablespoons milk of choice

  • 3-4 tablespoons pure maple syrup

  • ½ teaspoon pure vanilla extract

  • ⅛ teaspoon salt

  • 1 cup pomegranate seeds

Directions

  1. In a food processor, combine the avocados, cocoa powder, milk, maple syrup, salt, and vanilla extract. Pulse until smooth and creamy.

  2. Divide mousse evenly between serving dishes. Refrigerate for up to 2 hours or overnight. Top with pomegranate seeds before serving.
